School comes quickly. It is time to pick up our pen and issue our quarterly edition. As a matter of fact, since Labor Day has not yet come, we have decided to combine our Spring and Summer edition into this one, so you're getting a two for one. As always, this issue of Connections Review will address topics that are aimed to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable. However, we will do this particular issue a little differently. We will not feature some of the standard columns like our Court Watch, What's New?, and Café Cook this time. Instead we will focus on a few other important issues.

Try Gary Moon's bio on the late Dallas Willard, Becoming Dallas Willard: The Formation of a Philosopher, Teacher, and Christ Follower. Published By IV Press, 2018, its 289 pages cover three parts of his life: his first 30 years, his time at USC & birthing a movement, and his final thoughts on finishing life well. Whether you agree with everything Dallas has had to say or not, it describes a life in academe taken seriously, with his eyes on the prize of leaving a legacy.

If you are in the area, check out attending the annual Evangelical Theological Society and the Evangelical Philosophical Society simultaneous conference on November 13 - 15, 2018 at the Sheraton Hotel in Denver, Colorado. It's a great place to network with scholars who are doing good work and a chance to find out cutting edge issues in apologetics and theology. Here are links to information on both:
