Tour de Guelph
Mark your calendars, Sunday June 24 is the annual Tour de Guelph. That weekend we will not have a regular Sunday ride. Instead, we are hoping to get as many club members out to the Tour de Guelph as possible. Now in its fifth year the Tour de Guelph is an annual cycling event raising funds for the Guelph General Hospital and for local and international Rotary projects. A Speed River Cycling Club team has been created which you can join when you register. You can join the team regardless of which of the distances you choose and if you plan to ride with a family member then they can join too. Fundraising is optional but there is a Team fundraising prize offered by the Bike Shed for the highest fundraising team.
So what are you waiting for, the Tour de Guelph is Sunday June 24, a local ride, a great cause, team spirit and loads of fun... register now!
Club Socks have arrived
If you pre-ordered some of the new SRCC socks then they are now available for pickup at Speed River Bicycle.
If you didn't order enough, or didn't order at all, then worry no more! They will be available for purchase on our website in addition to the existing club kit.
Monthly Socials at the Wooly
A reminder that the last Thursday of each month is an informal gathering on the patio of the Wooly (One of our kind sponsors) that takes place shortly after our Thursday evening rides wrap up. You are welcome to come hangout and enjoy a beverage and some snacks on the patio. With rides ending around dusk, most folks will show up around 9:00pm, or shortly thereafter. You're welcome to join regardless of whether you rode that night, and regardless of whether or not the ride got rained out. See you at the Wooly!
