Beanies to Berets | Exhibition & Creative Textile Weekend

Entries are open for the Beanies to Berets exhibition.  If you are a creator of beanies, berets and head wear, from the traditional to the sculptural, the playful, wild and wonderful, to the bizarre, we want to hear from you.
We are also seeking stall holders for the Creative Textile weekend.  So if you are a creative working in textiles such as knitting, crochet, weaving, spinning, felting, macrame, fabric painting, embroidery and many more textile crafts.

Recent Aquisitions | City of Onkaparinga Art Collection
25 May - 25 June
The importance of having a permanent art collection can not be undervalued.  Art is a form of storytelling, a snapshot in time rendered in countless mediums.  The artwork making up the City of Onkaparinga's Art collection have been regularly acquired through gifts, commissions, purchases and acquisitive prizes.  This exhibition features new acquisitions made in the last couple of years.

Ewa Skoczynska | A Clean Sweep

A Clean Sweep explores both literally and metaphorically, through the notion of sweeping, the ‘dust and fluff’ which inhabits the corners of our lives.

Back to Life - drawing and collage work
You are invited to join Simone Kennedy to re-imagine endangered or extinct insect species of the Onkaparinga River and surrounding areas. Lost through time and with the process of change... you will have the opportunity to re-imagine and ‘bring back’ through drawing or collage a tiny life.  This workshop will enable you to hypothetically piece together a section of the body of the lost insect and create your own new species.
No drawing experience required… just the ability to imagine.

The Fleurieu Biennale Art Prize will run from 16 June - 22 July. 
Finalists will be exhibited in the Stump Hill Gallery at the McLaren Vale Visitor's Centre, the Fleurieu Arthouse at Tintara in McLaren Vale and at Signal Point Gallery in Goolwa.
