Summer worship schedule. Beginning this Sunday, June 3, we will have a single worship service at 10:00 a.m. This schedule will continue through Labor Day weekend. We will return to two services on Rally Day, Sunday, September 9.

Summer Choir meets this Sunday, June 3, and will continue periodically throughout the summer. Each Sunday the choir sings there will be a rehearsal at 9:30 a.m. prior to worship to learn the piece. This is a great opportunity to try out choir with a one-morning commitment. Contact Vanessa if interested—or just show up on Sunday morning!

Property workday. There will be a property workday on Saturday, June 9, at 9:00 a.m. It will include landscaping work and fence removal. Please contact Paul Harrington to sign up or for questions.

New Member Sunday, June 10. Joining our church family only requires filling out a simple New Member Form available at church or online, but we would like to make a formal welcome to all new members at worship on June 10. That morning at 9:00 a.m., Pastor Nick will meet with new members in the Fellowship Room in the church office building to help everyone get to know each other and learn more about Abiding Grace. If you would like to join please contact the church office and we will happily add you to the celebration!

Family Game Night and Cobbler/Crisp Bake Off. Everyone is invited to celebrate the men in our lives on Saturday, June 16, at 6:30 p.m. Not only for dads, let's include uncles, granddads, step dads, brothers, sons and friends! This year we'll celebrate by sharing some yummy desserts! Bring your games, card tables (no chairs) and your entry in one or more of the Bake-Off categories: cobblers, crisps, or gluten-free desserts. We'll have snacks (popcorn, chips) and drinks (water, tea, lemonade), but you're welcomed to bring your owns faves. We look forward to seeing everyone there. ELCA Draft Inter-Religious Statement. Pastor Nick will be leading a conversation on the ELCA draft inter-religious policy statement on Sunday, June 17, at 8:45 a.m. (note: this is one week later than the date announced last Sunday). All ELCA members are encouraged to read the statement and share their thoughts in a survey by June 30.

New Bible study. Pastor Nick will be starting a new Bible study on Thursday, June 21, at 1:00 p.m. This will be a "topical Bible study." Contact Pastor Nick if you have any questions.

Vacation Bible School. VBS is coming to Abiding Grace on Monday-Friday, July 16-20. Led by counselors from Briarwood, VBS is for children ages 5-10. Older children are invited to participate as junior counselors. VBS meets at the church each day from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There is no charge. If your children are interested in attending all or part of the week, please fill out a registration form soon since space is limited. Invite your friends and neighbors, too! Registration forms are available at church or online. If you have any questions, please contact Taylor.

Stewardship campaign. Time and Talent forms for 2018 are still being collected. Each member (including children) is asked to fill one out indicating how you wish to serve in the upcoming year. Please fill out a new form since there are many changes including selecting worship service(s) at which to serve. You can fill the form out online right now at http://go.abidinggracedfw.org/t+t If you haven't submitted your pledge card, you can still do so for the next several weeks.
