Stop Efforts to Undermine the EPA
|
|
Under the misleading title of “strengthening transparency in regulatory science”, a new proposed EPA rule would cause the EPA to either discard important studies that have formed the basis of key environmental regulations or violate patient confidentiality by making information public. Sign the American Lung Association petition opposing this misleading rule at this link. The deadline for sign-on is May 29 to be submitted to the EPA on May 30.

Stop Fossil Fuel Exploration
|
|
|
The Lofoten Declaration affirms that it is the urgent responsibility and moral obligation of fossil fuel producers to lead in putting an end to fossil fuel development and to manage the decline of existing production. The movement to end fossil fuel development and phase out existing production with a just transition has been growing rapidly – New Zealand recently banned all offshore oil exploration, the Netherlands committed to phasing out gas production in Groningen, and Ireland is well on its way to banning fossil fuel exploration through legislation, among other signs of progress. These steps demonstrate the political power of confronting the climate crisis by saying that it's time to stop digging.
