Europe Highlights

We are having a great time catching up with a friend, Darice, from Indianapolis as she, and another friend, Amanda, (who flew home Tuesday), made arrangements to meet us in Sicily during their vacation. It has been wonderful finding all of the differences between the towns/cities throughout the Italian island.

In Noto, we took in the ‘Infiorata Di Noto’ festival. The streets of the city are transformed into a blaze of colorful flowers, an atmosphere that attracts many visitors every year. This year the theme of the 39th edition of the Infiorata was “China in bloom: the silk streets,“ as a sign of integration between different cultures. View some of the photos from the spectacular event here.

While in Noto, we were lucky enough to meet two new amazing friends, Jeff & Rose, that were a connection of Amanda. We dined at the delicious restaurant Manna. Our server, Stefano Vergani, is an Italian Singer/Songwriter who was helping his owner friend with the high volume of the weekend that the festival brings in. Stefano and his team made sure we had an unforgettable night.

We are in the early stages of our time in Europe for the spring and summer. In this week’s podcast episode, we talk about our time in Munich, Amsterdam, Jena, Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. We will walk through the highlights and what made each trip special. Having the chance to visit several people that we already knew made the visits even more memorable.

From Munich's Fruhlingfest to Amsterdam’s King’s Day to Prague’s historic Town Square. The season for festivals is here, and it is a beautiful time to visit these fantastic cities. Join us as we discuss our highlights so far.

Off to discover more of Sicily!

Safe Travels!

Matt
