Music Monday: May 28th at The Third

On Monday, May 28th, we will be hosting Music Monday at The Third! This month's panel discussion topic is Getting Funding for Recording, featuring Ian Boyd of Compact Music and a representative of the Youth in Culture Pilot Program and a musical set by Lake Urmia. From Emerging to Export Program Launch
Début du programme "From Emerging to Export"
We are thrilled to announce the launch of our From Emerging to Export program! We are excited to be working with DRAE, Subtle Curves, Kelsey Hayes, JOSEPHINE LEONE, Grace Marr, No Mistakes in Space, Seiiizmikk, The Ebb and the Flow and Throne Seekers over the course of the next two months.

We would also like to welcome our program mentors: Brodie Conley (Future States), Ashley Au (John K Samson and the Winter Wheat, Carly Dow), Ian Nichols (Double Experience), and Michelle Bensimon, Lana Cooney, Isabelle Banos (Caveboy). 
On est ravi d'annoncer la première édition de notre programme From Emerging to Export! On a hâte de travailler avec DRAE, Subtle Curves, Kelsey Hayes, JOSEPHINE LEONE, Grace Marr, No Mistakes in Space, Seiiizmikk, The Ebb and the Flow and Throne Seekers pendant les deux mois prochaines.

FACTOR juried sound recording deadline: May 31st, 2018

The deadline for the Juried Sound Recording program is right around the corner! The program contributes toward the cost of acquiring, producing and marketing a full length album. Submissions are assessed by an independent jury of music industry professionals. More info can be found here.

La date limite pour soumettre les candidatures pour le programme d'enregistrement sonore juré FACTOR s'approche a grands pas. Le programme contribue aux coûts d'acquisition, de production et de diffusion d'un album complet. Les soumissions sont évaluées par un jury indépendant de professionnels de l'industrie. Debaser Gig Planning Workshop
 

On Sunday, May 27th, Girls+ Rock Ottawa presents Gig Planning 101 in partnership with Debaser. Facilitated by Rachel Weldon and Amanda Lowe Warnakulasuriya, two experienced local promoters who put together some of the the freshest lineups in town. More information is available here.

Application Deadline for le Phoque Off in Quebec City


The deadline for le Phoque Off is quickly approaching!  For francophone artists, this is a great opportunity to network with francophone musicians, promoters and other industry professionals. 

Le Phoque Off is a series of shows, panels and mixers organized as an offshoot of the Rideau conference in Quebec City. We encourage our Franco-Ontarian artist check out the programming and apply! More information can be found here: http://phoqueoff.com/.

The deadline to apply is June 8th.

Le Phoque OFF est un projet de la communauté artistique émergent et présente l'occasion d'organiser les vitrines, spectacles et cocktails au Québec avec des artistes franco-canadiens et de faire le réseautage avec les autres artistes et diffuseurs Franco-Canadiens.
