Today over 1.3 million people are killed yearly in vehicle related incidents. Over 25% of all carbon emissions and energy usage is due to fossil fuel engines. And yet, transportation is still a luxury for the vast majority of humanity. Continuing to use an industrial era model to scale transportation for 10 billion people is a recipe for incalculable ecological disaster and human suffering.
Sunil Malhotra collaborated with Tom Koulopoulos, CEO and Founder, Delphi Group, to research what the future of personal mobility will look like. The resulting white paper, Transportation 2050, presents a radical view of how personal mobility and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) will alter the landscape for transportation in ways that will be as disruptive to the automobile as the automobile was to the horse and buggy.
