As we enter the second half of 2018 we would like to highlight two major accomplishments...the completion of approximately 5,000 screenings and over 800 surgeries!!!

Bedele-5 Outreach
In January, Dr. Samuel and his team travelled to Aira Base Hospital and the town of Bedele.
In the two locations combined they examined over 2,000 patients and performed 344 surgeries.
South Sudan Mission
In May, Dr. Jim travelled with a team of 6 eye care professionals. During this mission the team examined 1,700 patients, dispensed over 400 pairs of glasses and performed over 165 surgeries.
During April and May, Dr. Samuel and his team travelled to Aira and Bako where they performed over 1,000 exams and more than 100 surgeries. The team averaged 27 surgeries per day in Aira!
Three Outreaches in Two Weeks... In June, Dr. Samuel performed surgeries at three separate outreaches in Aira Base Hospital, Konchi and Gute. During farming season the patient numbers are lower, but he and his team were able to perform nearly 200 surgeries.
