Kids to Parks Day is TOMORROW! Get outside this Saturday, May 19, 2018 and discover your local parks. Here are 5 easy steps that will help you have a great Kids to Parks Day! It’s time to explore outdoors, the parks are yours!

Step 1: Check out our map where you can find more than 1,000 park events and programs for kids. Didn’t find a participating park near you? No problem. Take advantage of our free downloadable resources and plan your own park adventure! Rain or shine there are great parks and nature centers for you to go to or you can check out our Tips for Getting Families Outdoors list for other activity ideas in your backyard!

FIND AN EVENT
Step 2: Help make this the biggest Kids to Parks Day ever by pledging to participate. Everyone who pledges to participate will be entered to win one of our fun prizes, including a terrific family camping package from The North Face that features a sturdy tent and 4 cozy sleeping bags.
 
PLEDGE TO PARTICIPATE
Step 3: Share your photos with us on social media using #KidstoParks and #BuddyBison. Or email them to Samantha Jones at samantha@parktrust.org. Don’t forget to bring Buddy Bison with you to enjoy the day!

Join our Buddy Bison Student Ambassadors 


They will be hosting Kids to Parks Day events at their favorite local parks. Audrey will have a trail cleanup at Lake James State Park (NC). Sarah is going to Giampietro Park (NJ) where she will host a litter pick-up challenge and other family friendly events. Tigran will be at Cabrillo National Monument (CA) showing kids what they can do to protect parks.
            

Kids to Parks Day Fun Facts 

Did you know that a Senate Resolution was passed that designates May 19th National Kids to Parks Day? There are also over 400 cities and towns that have signed proclamations, and more than 1000 events all across the country! Kids to Parks Day was even featured in USA TODAY. Have a great Kids to Parks Day!
