News from Rab Noakes and Neon Productions

Hiya all

Pardon the multiple posts this week but I keep you all up-to-date with all that’s happening this busy spell before I invite you to re-sign as is my legal obligation under the soon-to-be-introduced GDPR changes.

In early June I’ll be out-and-about with an update of the show Allan Taylor and I do together.
We’ll be at The Ceilidh Place, Ullapool on Friday 1st June, Portsoy Festival on Saturday 2nd June and The Fraser Centre, Milngavie on Sunday 2nd June.

I also have a coupla dates coming up in the Kingdom of Fife.
The first one is in my home-town of Cupar and is a conversation with the sculptor, David Mach as part of Cupart Arts Festival in the Corn Exchange on Sunday 17th June. David’s from Methil so there may be a bit of Fife in the conversation.

The other Fife appaearance will be the official launch of my new album at the Lochgelly Centre on Wednesday 29th August. There’ll be a concert with members of the 70/50 in 2017 band, who all made marvellous contributions to the record, playing songs from it.

Which leads me to something I mentioned in the previous newsletter. There is a Kickstarter campaign, launched in support of the new album, ‘Welcome to Anniversaryville’. It is doing away nicely and I thank everyone who has made a Pledge so far. Here’s the link:-

Please take a look at the range of Pledges/Rewards and join us in supporting what, even though I say it myself, is a pretty good record. I can say that, not in relation to my work but to the quality of the contributions by the musicians, the producers, the visual-artists and all others involved.

Later in the year I’ll be out-and-about with Jill Jackson. We’ll start with a show at the Edinburgh Fringe and then there’ll be a bit of touring in the Autumn. Who knows, we may be somewhere near you. There’ll be more details here soon
So, it’s a year of collaborations. I’m looking forward to that.
