NATIONAL NEWS

FARMING TOGETHER SPROUTS NEW GROWTH!

Farming Together: devised by Canberra, delivered by real people ... and now coming back!
Come and hear about the future plans for this visionary program at our national forum in the Great Hall of Canberra's Australian National University on June 26.  Our exciting announcement will share the podium with speakers such as Mick Keogh, ACCC deputy chair and John Gladigau launching Australia’s first farmer-owned mutual.
Plus, hear how a group of growers are transitioning to a whole new industry; what a berry collective learned from its first export experience; how a forestry collective scored a deal for its secondary timbers; how a newly formed Victorian milk co-op scored a major processing deal; the NSW garlic co-op that sold-out its first harvest at double market price; what a turf growers' co-op overcame to now represent 10% of its national industry; the fishing co-op trialling a new online auction system and an ethical merino co-op that is launching a blockchain-backed ‘green’ guarantee. The day-long, no-cost event includes great networking opportunities and all refreshments. https://farmingtogether2018forum.eventbrite.com.au
