The Axelrod Firm's Holiday Event: Painting Together!

The Axelrod Firm held its holiday event on January 3, 2018: Dinner and painting at Painting with a Twist.

Sheryl Axelrod and Vanessa Snyder had a wonderful time attending the February 2018 NAMWOLF (National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms) Business Meeting in San Diego, California, and connecting with the many fabulous NAMWOLF firms and in-house counsel who attended the meeting.

Axelrod Firm Partner Lisa Savitt Speaks on Data Privacy Issues

Lisa presented on a panel on data privacy issues around the globe for a major US company. Lisa’s focus was an update on data privacy protection legislation in African countries. The panel also discussed the impact of the General Data Protection Regulation which is coming into effect in the European Union the end of May.

Lisa attended African Diaspora Network Investment Symposium on behalf of non-profit 'A Child for All'

Lisa is chair of the Board of the non-profit A Child for All (ACFA) which brings hope and a future to vulnerable children in Mali, West Africa – www.acfacorp.org. Today, ACFA is home for 12 vulnerable children in Bamako – the capital of Mali. ACFA provides the children with the care and attention they deserve. Before they came to ACFA, these children were living on the streets of Bamako, often not knowing where their next meal would come from. When they come to live in the home provided by ACFA, they are provided with clothes and food, sent to school and they become involved with sports.

Lisa attended the American Bar Association (ABA) Rule of Law Initiative (ROLI) in Marrakech, Morocco

Lisa is a member of the ABA Rule of Law Initiative Middle East and North Africa Council and attended the ABA Rule of Law Initiative staff and Board retreat which was held in Marrakech. The retreat included a visit to the Marrakech Court of Appeals and the Marrakech City Hall where there was a roundtable discussion with local officials on constitutional reforms.
