Hey there Broadcast Amsterdam friends
So this is our very first email update since we invited people to keep in the loop about what we're up to. Sorry it's taken us a while to actually send you something. Here's the news you've been waiting for ...
24/7 radio | We're now broadcasting our radio station in BETA mode, 24/7 via our website, broadcastamsterdam.nl. It's BETA because we are still experimenting with content rotations and broadcasting live shows but essentially there's new, local radio content added on a weekly basis and a constant stream of up to date music (so it's an alternative to 'Spotify discover' as well). There's also a pop-up player on our menu, so you can keep the radio playing while you work on other stuff. A smartphone app and a Tune In stream are coming soon.
A meetup | This Sunday 3 June from 10-12:00 we have an open meetup to share ideas for the radio and maybe even make some broadcast audio. Our vision is to make a community-led radio platform which will allow Amsterdammers to share local stories as easily as possible. So feel free to join us for a coffee and catch up in in person @ Anne & Max (Our West). We've had lots of people say they might like to volunteer, so here's a chance to get stuck in or just get to know us. more >
Video & TV | Yes, we're still making videos and TV, see the ICYMI below for our latest video, and look out for the June edition of the Amsterdam Film Show coming soon on YouTube. Both of these will also be on TV next week, on Salto 1.
