Song + Spirit

While listening to Lianne La Havas’ Tiny Desk performance. I found myself looking at the recommendations YouTube has presented me and got a chance to listen to another soulful voice.

The guy in a suit who seemed to be standing over a desk caught my eye, so I clicked and watched as Paul Janeway crooned away with his team (St. Paul And The Broken Bones) and within that minute I got the feeling that my heart was swaying too.

Not in a swooney kind of way. More like if Paul were somehow asking me to stay using his voice…so I could listen to what he wanted to say.

So…yeah…in a way…I think the title of this post…(or rather subject line!) represents how I feel about the music. If I am having a down day. I might be able to feel right again listening to them.

As a result, I’ve now created a new playlist that goes by the name: ‘A Possible Cure for the Blues’ --- with all kinds of tracks that may lift me up.

Lets see what their latest release (Sea of Noise) would bring!

(Continuing with the gif from this entry. It's my favourite siblings from Season 1 of Rectify)

Feeling the feels with you,
Leigh

PS: Look for the online link to this message
to see the gif! If it doesn't
show up, you can grab the link from the archive.

PPS: Some additional options to help you find
the next track you get excited about! :)

PPPS: I've decided to do away looking for gif fillers
within the entry and just focus on finding photos
for each entry header (bye bye my bench photo!). The
photo for this entry
is courtesy of Janne Poikolainen. I thought
that image would reflect well thinking about the healing
effects of the cold (from what I understand the body is 'shocked')
after a period of exposure to heat.

PPPPS: Because I have been asked if there is a playlist that has all
the discoveries from the project...I have obliged. If you spot a track that
doesn't have a corresponding entry...it may have yet to be scheduled.
I know! I should put together a YouTube Playlist too as a number of
live performances are quite different from the studio version.
