Taste of the West
Thursday, June 7, 5-8 p.m.
Taste of the West is the premier culinary event in Jefferson County. The “Taste” will feature award-winning cuisine from many of Jeffco’s best restaurants and caterers. In addition to tasty food samples, the festival will feature an assortment of beer from local breweries, wine, culinary exhibitors and networking with more than 1,300 attendees. 2018 marks the 4th year for our Taste of the West beer garden, which highlights the great local craft beer from Colorado! Big Boom Bash July 4
Big Boom Bash, a new Fourth of July celebration hosted by the City of Lakewood, will take place on Wednesday, July 4, rain or shine, at Jeffco Stadium, 500 Kipling St. Admission is free for this event, which kicks off at 5:30 p.m. and culminates with a spectacular 20-minute fireworks display beginning at approximately 9:15 p.m. The event includes children’s activities, a community art project, vendor booths and local food trucks. The Lakewood Beer Garden presented by Foothills Credit Union will feature beer from Lakewood breweries and hard cider for purchase. Colorado Creative Industries Career Advancement Grant Reimbursable, matching funds up to $2,500 support Colorado creative entrepreneurs and artists to help stimulate their commercial creative business. The goal is that awardees will achieve tangible business benefits such as increased revenue, new audiences or improved management practices. Visit the website to learn more and to apply.
