Message from the PTA
Hello North Davis Families,
We are down to three and a half days until the end of the 2017-2018 school year. Our final day will be this Thursday, June 7th, with a 12:30pm dismissal.
This year has been a wonderful one and it is thanks to each and every member of our NDE community.
Our Principal Roseen, so caring and positive, is leading this school in a new direction, filling us all with the power of yet and working tirelessly to make sure all our students feel supported, safe, and valued. Thank you.
Our teachers and staff have yet again worked wonders, guiding and encouraging our children to explore, to challenge themselves to be better learners and members of our community. Thank you.
Our students, who learn and play with such passion and enthusiasm, who show such kindness and drive, remind us adults daily why we care and why we all work so hard to make NDE the special place that it is. Thank you.
Our parent/caregiver volunteers, who give their time so generously to help in the classrooms, run fitness stations on the blacktop, drive on field trips, or organize PTA events big and small, you add such depth and richness to what this school can offer our students. Thank you.
All our families, who place their trust in North Davis Elementary 180 days each school year to watch over and teach their children, make this place what it is. Thank you.

FOCUS ON FITNESS
JUMP ROPE ASSEMBLY NOTES
Huge Thanks to Kerry Sortor for all of her assistance and support with Jump Rope Club ALL YEAR LONG, but especially last Wednesday at the Jump Rope Assembly. Additionally, thank you to Kelly Kohen for coming out to help us keep the jumpers organized and ready to go into the assembly. It was a super successful assembly! Thank you PTA for funding this great weekly lunch recess activity and end of the year assembly.

6th Grade NOTES
A Note of Thanks to 6th grade Parents—I have enjoyed working with your children all year long. They have been such an integral part of our 1st grade fitness program this year. Their leadership and fun attitude has made fitness fun for their cross-age peers!
I hope that you are planning on attending the final day of school assembly (first thing in the morning on Thursday 6/7). We have been working on a nice “End of their Elementary School Years” recognition. After they leave they will recognize that these past seven years (K-6) have been the “Good Old Days”, they “Can’t Stop the Feeling” of excitement in their accomplishments and they have done “Whatever it Takes” to be successful and ready to move on to junior high!!
