For quite a few people across the world, the Shores brand spells "quality cruise ship furniture". We have delivered deck and outdoor furnishings for ships in most fleets currently serving cruise customers, and have had the pleasure of becoming a preferred supplier to an increasing number of them.
Hotels and restaurants
Although we're currently not as well-known for it, Shores also supplies hotels and restaurants with furniture for both indoor and outdoor areas - and speaking modestly, we're certain that our products are up to the task. While the basic hospitality requirements are similar, the excruciatingly high demands of the cruise world has given us a great deal of experience at making things that can take hard, constant use and still work and look good.
Tested by the elements
Not only are the safety demands aboard a cruise ship much higher than on dry land - particularly with regards to fire - but we also face the elements in the worst possible ways. From the harsh, direct sunshine and tropical rainfalls near the equator to relentless winds and biting cold above the arctic circle... our furniture has seen it all, and survived. Not only that, but the wear and tear aboard a ship, often at sea for days without landfall, tends to be even greater than that of a busy hotel or restaurant.
Simply put: If it works on a cruise ship, it works everywhere.
Bringing something extra
These practicalities have taught us a lot about materials, products and manufacturing. At the end of the day, though, it doesn't stop there. We take our service very seriously; we may deliver furniture, but what we really want is for our clients to think of us as helping them facilitate their guests' experience.
After all, the weather isn't the only unforgiving thing about sailing the oceans - you may need a resupply of chairs but it won't do much good if they arrive after the ship has sailed on. This kind of schedule suffers nothing less than pinpoint punctuality.
