UKLA approval for Berkeley Energia to list on the LSE Main Board and become Spain’s only listed mining company

The UK Listing Authority has approved the publication of the Prospectus which will see the Company listed on the Main Board of the LSE on June 6th and on  the Spanish Stock Exchanges on June 7th. Trading in the Company’s shares on AIM will be cancelled simultaneously on LSE Admission. Existing AIM shareholders do not have to take any action to maintain their holdings as their shares will automatically be admitted to trading on the Main Board of the LSE.

Well established stockbroker Renta4, which has 17 regional offices across Spain including an office in Salamanca, has been appointed broker to the Company and will be looking to generate institutional as well as retail interest in the story.

Paul Atherley, Managing Director of Berkeley Energia, said:

We are pleased to be listing Berkeley Energia on both the Main Board of the London Stock Exchange and the Spanish Stock Exchanges.

It represents a major step forward for the Company as we progress with the Salamanca Project, providing economic stimulus and creating badly needed jobs in a region with some of the highest levels of unemployment in Europe.

The Company will be Spain’s only listed mining company and we look forward to being a part of the country’s modern mining history and creating long-term shareholder value.”
