June 2018
Whispers In The Stacks
Michael Kaltwang
Library Director
As Alice Cooper’s song says: “School’s out for summer. School’s out…..” Well, not forever, but our “Libraries Rock” summer reading program is IN! Registration for our Summer Reading Program for all ages begins June 4th in Chesterfield, June 5th in Pageland, June 6th in Cheraw, June 7th in McBee, and June 8th in Jefferson with a 3:00pm Kickoff event at each respective branch location.
We will have a variety of special guests in our libraries this summer including musical story teller Sharon Clarke, The Soap Bubble Circus, and, back by popular demand, The Critter Keeper. There are many great programs and prizes to win this summer for all ages at each Chesterfield County Library System branch location. Many of the events are musically inspired to keep “in tune” with our Libraries Rock theme. Again, registration for all ages begins the week of June 4th-8th with the official kick-off day at each branch location. Call or visit your local public library for details.
Hot new books for June:
Fade To Black by Heather Graham
The Gray Ghost by Clyde Cussler
Shelter In Place by Nora Roberts
The Endless Beach by Jenny Colgan
