EAST GRAND RAPIDS SCHOOLS FOUNDATION

Thank you to everyone who supported the EGRNOW! spring fundraising drive! Because of the incredible commitment of our volunteers, and the generosity of our community, the Foundation met its goal of preserving current programming and will be able to provide $239,709 to the East Grand Rapids Public Schools to fund vital school programs. In each of the last seven years, the funds raised by EGRNOW!--and the EGRNOW! yard signs popping up throughout our neighborhoods--have served as powerful affirmation of the pride East Grand Rapids takes in our schools’ commitment to excellence. Thank you again for your extraordinary support of our students, our schools, and our community!

ENGAGE 1:1 DISTRICT DEVICE PROGRAM

Dear EGRPS Families,

Engage 1:1 is a voluntary and encouraged technology program which supports the learning of our East Grand Rapids middle school and high school students. Students in grades 6-12 are encouraged to bring their own technology device, or they may join the District-Provided Device program. As part of the Engage 1:1 program we offer an option for families to secure a District-Provided Device. Students accepted into this program will be provided with a district-owned technology device to use during the 2018-2019 school year. Interested families with students who will be in grades 6-12 during the 2018-2019 school year may submit an application for consideration. The application deadline is Friday, June 15, 2018, and families will receive notification of their acceptance status by Friday, June 22, 2018. For further information, please visit the Engage1:1 webpage or access the application here.

Returning families already in the program are able to re-apply and will also have the option of carrying forward any deposit money after their current device is returned undamaged at the end of the school year. To continue in the District-Provided Device program we ask that you please fill out the application here.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at djenkins@egrps.org or 235-3535, if I can address any questions regarding the Engage 1:1 program.

Sincerely,

Douglas Jenkins
