EOS is so grateful to all those who helped support our community and made the Clean Water for All campaign a huge success! We asked for your help to provide clean water for 40 rural communities in Nicaragua. With your generous investment, we raised a total of $21,830 to provide 43 communities clean, safe drinking water.

Our Latest Water Inovation

EOS launches water quality field testing services for rural communities in the form of a mobile lab consisting of a motorcycle, test kits, incubators, and water collection supplies.
Throughout Central America, we have seen how empowering people does more than create clean drinking water; it provides hope, it improves the health of children and communities, and provides a better future. Your gift not only works to support the installation of water purification systems, but also provides vitally important education and water testing services. Earlier this year, EOS launched a water quality testing service specifically designed for rural communities. Our mobile lab consists of a portable unit mounted on a motorcycle with the ability to travel to hard-to-reach areas and preform the water quality test in often forgotten communities.

Our team is now able to test for bacteria, nitrates, arsenic, iron, turbidity, and several other critical parameters in the water source. Through these tests, we discovered that 85% of the water sources contained harmful bacteria contamination. These results were shared with the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health, helping show the need and effectiveness of chlorine purification techniques and how it can provide safe water for the communities.

After EOS installs a new water purification system, we perform the same bacteria test to show community members the absence of bacteria. Additionally, EOS lends its water testing capabilities to our partner organizations and government agencies who may lack sufficient resources, in an attempt to bring clean water to all those in Nicaragua.

According to the World Health Organization every $1 invested in clean water can yield $4–$12 in economic returns. Access to clean water can change lives, unlock educational opportunities, generate economic prosperity, and improve health Thank you for your support and making the dreams of these rural families come true!
