Performing Arts Showcase

MPS is grateful to the Performing Arts Boosters for helping to showcase our talented MPS students. The boosters recently donated a wonderful touch screen kiosk for the lobby just outside the MPS Performing Arts Center. The kiosk currently displays photos from the recent production of Once Upon a Mattress. The goal is to program the touch screen with pictures and videos of past performances so that students, alumni, and visitors can call up their favorite performing arts memories.

This has been a labor of love for the boosters and a dream of Performing Arts department chair Art Martone, MPS ’80.

Special thanks goes to Performing Arts Booster officers, president Lori Kruszewski, treasurer Rick Talbot, and secretary Diane Gallagher for coordinating this very generous gift and to Jim & Wendy Bahm of Networking Technologies for helping to make the purchase possible and for technical assistance in preparing and setting up the kiosk.

Athletic News

Congratulations to the boys baseball team, who made it to the D-10 championship game on Memorial Day. The boys played a great game against Greenville, who won 7 - 5. The boys will move on to the PIAA State Tournament next Monday, June 4, against either Brownsville High School or Avonworth High School at a site and time T.B.A.
 
REMINDER:  SPORTS PHYSICALS for next year will be given next Wednesday, June 6, at 3:30 PM in the Athletic Lobby. You can either pick up a form in the Athletic Office or download the one on-line. The physicals will be free this year, but athletes are asked to sign up in the Athletic Office so we can get a general idea of how many we will have so LECOM can send enough doctors.
