Policy

With the Ontario Provincial Election tomorrow, in partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, its 135 local Chambers representing over 60,000 businesses,  the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce has launched the “Vote Prosperity” platform to highlight key priorities for businesses community.

There are four pillars on which our platform is based:
  1. Strengthen business competitiveness: Rising input costs, especially those costs deriving from government regulation and policy, are the most common and acute concern of the business community in Ontario.
  2. Foster Job Creation: A robust labour market consisting of good jobs is essential to prosperity for all Ontarians.
  3. Build Healthy Communities: Building strong communities through adequate and affordable housing, sustainable health care, and good infrastructure also supports business prosperity and growth, which supports those communities.
  4. Improve Government Accountability: Poor implementation of government initiatives can result in resource waste, political frustration and disruption for ordinary citizens.
Check out www.hamiltonchamber.ca/voteprosperity2018/ for more information on critical challenges facing the Ontario economy, our detailed recommendations and analysis of election platforms released by the major parties.

Insurance isn’t always easy to understand, most people don’t even want to have the discussion. 15 years in this industry has shown me that although Canadians don’t want to talk about their protection, they need to. At RBC insurance we can help you have the discussion once and feel confident that you are protected.
