CWRU to Host International Summer Send-Off Events

Case Western Reserve University will celebrate the upcoming academic year in China this summer with two international Summer Send-Off events.  Organized by the CWRU Alumni Association, Summer Send-Offs are held in cities throughout the United States as well as in Beijing and Shanghai.

Newly admitted first-year students are invited to attend the events, along with their parents, to meet university staff, alumni, and current students. Summer Send-Offs are great opportunities to ask questions about living in Cleveland and thriving at CWRU. Current students and alumni are able to share helpful insights about their experiences to incoming students and their families.

Summer Send-Off events also help build networks across generations of CWRU students, opening doors for future partnerships and collaborations.

The Center for International Affairs will be represented at this summer's events in China by Elizabeth Miller, assistant director of International Student Services. She will be joined by representatives from the Office of Admissions, the Case School of Engineering, and Alumni Association Board Member Roger Wei, who is an active alumnus in China and will help translate for the events.

The Summer Send-Off in Beijing will be held July 21 and the event in Shanghai will follow on July 22.
