Good things come in small packages

Summer fun is coming! I am excited to announce a change from my usual, big, summer Client Appreciation Party. Instead of one date for everyone, I'm going to do some smaller events over the summer, more targeted to your interests.  There will be Duffy Boat rides, a Wine and Paint Night, a Pizza on the Grill making night at our home, Concerts in the Park, and a few other surprises. Think about what you might like as a way to share my appreciation for you and your family. Look for more information in an email specific to Client Appreciation soon!

Let's talk Kitchens

Kitchens are the heart of the home.  Even if you are not much for cooking, it's still the place where people gather. It's something that can sell a home, or turn buyers away. It's where you get to be you, and share what makes your house a home. Here are some current trends for kitchens.

ISLANDS:
There is something about a kitchen island that brings people together.  You can do food prep there, gather around it to chat, grab a casual meal, share a drink with some appetizers, have the kids do their homework there.  Here are 50 different styles of kitchen islands from our friends at Houzz.  Which is your favorite? I like the Turramurra and the Currimundi one, with the single level and so loooooong.

SMART KITCHENS:
The Smart Home is ever evolving and kitchens are part of the trend. From the faucets you don't have to touch to turn on, to refrigerators than tell you to go grocery shopping. Do you have any smart items in your kitchen you'd recommend? Here's a look at some of the touchless faucets, with reviews.

PET FRIENDLY:
Yes, really. A lower drawer that pulls out and holds food and water dishes, called a feeding station. What about building in a doggy bed under the kitchen island, so your four legged family member gets to hang out around the island, too?

FLOORING:
Hardwood floor is still the most popular in kitchens, with tile right behind it.  Why not combine the two and get easy to maintain tile that looks like hardwood? Check out these tile styles that can fool you into thinking they're wood.

Final Funny:
Q: Why did the dinosaur refuse to wear deodorant?
A: He didn't want to be ex-stink!
Hollywood Riviera home in Redondo Beach had 5 offers in the first few days on the market, and went over list price.  Who do you know that needs my help in getting their home sold quickly, for a great price, with qualified buyers?

Life Hack for June: Here are 40 life hacks for you this month.  What's your favorite? I'm going to try the paper towel trick on a bottle of wine, for sure!
Some exciting listings are coming up: a beautiful 3/2 pool home in the Plaza area of East Long Beach, a darling 1 bed/1 bath Long Beach condo with the best view in the complex, and a large pool home in East Long Beach.
MARKET UPDATE
The average sales price in Huntington Beach increased 7.6% in the 12 months ending April 2018, over the prior 12 months. Long Beach is up 6.8% over the same period, and Signal Hill is down 2.7%. If you'd like to see how your city fared, or would like an updated, free home evaluation, please email/text/call me, and I'd be happy to answer any questions.
