June is turning out to be an important and historic month for SBANA and the CAU School of Business.  We're hosting two events in Atlanta, highlighting the successes of CAU School of Business Alumni and we have sights and sounds from a historic moment at the NYSE.

We are celebrating CAUAA International Alumni Day on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at City Winery Atlanta. Join us for an afternoon of networking, fun, and games. Light appetizers will be provided. RSVP here.

B-SCHOOL NEWS

Dean Udoka
June 1 marked Dr. Silvanus Udoka's first day as the Dean of the CAU School of Business. We'll be sharing opportunities for alumni to meet and share ideas with him soon. 

Top 5 Business Schools for African Americans

Business Because has named the CAU School of Business in the Top 5 Best US Business Schools for African-American MBAs.  Read more about the ranking here.

The National HBCU Business Deans Roundtable
Congratulations to Dr. Ed Davis on his appointment as the President of the National HBCU Business Deans Roundtable. As President-Elect he was responsible for planning this year's 16th annual summit held in New York City. 

The HBCU Deans Roundtable, HP and the CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion convened over 50 HBCU Deans and the CEOs of Vimeo, The Aerospace Corporation, DentaQuest and C-Suite Executives from AT&T,  Deloitte, Facebook, Fifth Third Bank, HP,  KPMG, and PWC. The group had an honest conversation about diversity and inclusion in the workplace, the talent pipeline,  and challenges around preparing students for the corporate setting and successfully onboarding recent grads.


HP HBCU Business Challenge
HP announced it's 2nd Annual HBCU Business Challenge in partnership with the HBCU Business Deans Roundtable. The challenge is designed to help students of color jumpstart their entry into the world of business. Learn more here.

A Historic Moment at the NYSE  
Dr. Davis joined  HP's Chief Diversity Officer, Lesley Slaton Brown on June 1 to ring the Closing Bell at the New York Stock Exchange.  Dean Udoka, Dr. Alli, and SBANA President, Myrah Murrell (CAU '07) were also in attendance.  Watch the historic moment below.
