WELCOME TO YOUR MONTHLY NEWS ROUNDUP

Salaamun Alaykum,
I pray that this Holy month of Ramadan is filling you and your families with spiritual upliftment and prosperity Inshallah. The wiladat of our 2nd Holy Imam is approaching and I would like to send felicitations to the Imam of our time (ajfs) on this joyous occasion.
Earlier this month, Mahmood Dhala, the Assistant Secretary General and I travelled to Ottawa in Canada to attend the NASIMCO conference and hear from their teams about the fantastic work being undertaken by our community members who live in that part of the world and their plans for the future.
During our trip, I had the honour of speaking on behalf of our President, Alhaj Anwarali Dharamsi. The speech was an update on the three main areas where we work with our regional federations. These are Islamic Education, Community Affairs and Humanitarian work. You can read my address in full here.
It was humbling throughout the conference to hear about the great work being done by our brothers and sisters in North America and I'm really looking forward to our continued developments in collaborative and life changing projects Inshallah. I would like to thank the Ottawa Jamaat for their very warm hospitality and well hosted event.
I hope you enjoy reading this news roundup as we aim to do on a monthly basis so we can keep you all informed of our activities. You can see some of our top news stories of the past month below. Our Ramadan Relief delivery is well underway thanks to the support of our dedicated volunteers. So far, your donations are helping us provide nutritious Food Packs to places like Syria and Yemen, where we are supporting those affected by conflicts.
In Partnership with our Regional Federations, we have also been distributing Food Packs to our own Khoja community members in India and Kenya, in addition to those affected by the recent flash flooding to hit East Africa.
There is so much more to do, and its still not to late to donate. Please continue to support WF-AID and help us deliver more during Shahr Ramadan. Each Food Pack costs just £40/$60 and can feed a family for a whole month.
