Joshua Landry was appointed Ethicist, Markham Stouffville Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Science Centre in April 2018, and he has also become a member of the CORE Network.

Pier Bryden received a President's Teaching Award – U of T's highest honour for excellence in teaching.

Sophie Roher was the recipient of the Peter Kong-Ming New Award for 2017-18. This award is given to a student for the best paper submitted for a course within the Social and Behavioural Health Sciences Division.

Melissa McCradden was the recipient of the Health and Human Rights Prize for 2017-18. This award is given to a graduate student at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health for the best paper on health and human rights submitted to a course during the academic year.

Since 2007 we have been part of a Shared Bioethics Program (SBP) that provides ethics leadership, education, consultation, and support to member institutions.
