Understanding Drivers of Sustainability in Supply Chain Processes

A research team in the Center for Sustainable Business Practices in the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon is undertaking a global benchmarking study on understanding drivers of sustainability in supply chains.  This study is focused on understanding the role of trust, dependency, and reciprocity (i.e., give and take) in assessing the impact of buyer-supplier relationship management approaches for enhancing sustainability.

When the research is completed participants will receive a "summary benchmarking report" containing the average results across the entire (industry) data, thus providing them an opportunity to see where their firm stands vis-à-vis their industry or other industries. Subsequently, they will receive a research report that uses rigorous econometric analysis to highlight the efficacy of supplier relationship management approaches and offers targeted business insights for buyer firms to manage supplier relationship for enhancing sustainability under a variety of factors and business conditions.

More info on the survey can be found here.

The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce is conducting interviews to better understand how the organization can best serve local industry.  As part of their greater Business Retention and Expansion Program (BR&E), the Chamber is collecting information privately and aggregating the results to tell the narrative of the industry and inform the work of economic development agencies across Lane County.

This is your chance to ensure that the Eugene Chamber and partner agencies are working to serve your needs!

These narratives help The Eugene Chamber of Commerce work with the city and county to improve policies/programs that affect our local industries.  For example, there is one component of the survey that addresses the permitting concerns of the industry.

For more information and to book your interview, contact Joshua Mongé at joshuam@eugenechamber.com
