The thing I'm most excited about that has come out of the studio lately is Loosely Connected, my submission for the current Curated Quilts mini-quilt challenge. At just 11" square, it amazed me how much satisfaction I found in creating this one, winging it the whole way.
In general, I haven't found a seam roller to be helpful, but when I saw Sara Lawson suggest one for paper-piecing, I tried it and really like it. So go figure! A tool that may not suit you for one use may totally be the thing for another!
Back in 2016, Stacey/SLOstudio shared her hourglass block addiction which in turn prompted a project of my own. Her project, though, was one I loved from the outset, so it was fun to see her finished Hourglass Quilt recently. At 95" x 97", it's a beautiful tribute to the traditional block while being a modern masterpiece all on its own.

P.S. how do I do it all? It's a justification I find myself making often. So Steph Skardal's recent post struck home. See if you don't agree with her summary - I certainly do.
