The Work Group - They came, they saw, they worked, they had fun
The good news first:
Four members turned out to tackle a number of tasks following the plea for help in the lat newsletter.
Every one of them announced they had enjoyed their stint very much and were keen to help further in the near future. So what did they do?
Each took on a task/s they were happy they could manage. These included:
Repairing the 10 wheelbarrow deflated tyre inner tubes and pumping them up.
The replacement of the window glass in shed 1.
Replacing the broken paving slab covering the upper pond overflow pipe with a larger flagstone cemented in its place.
The replacement of missing protective rubber skirts around the pontoons. Work is still continuing on this item.
So I am sure that all PSC members would like me to express our gratitude to them for giving their time and expertise freely for the benefit of us all.
They were: Roger Roodhouse, Peter Ferguson, Stas Lawicki
PSC is a club run by its members for its members and the above is a great example of this. Watch this space for details of the next Work Group day.
The bad news:
We don't yet have enough volunteers to keep up the work needed to maintain and improve the club between the twice yearly work parties.
So please volunteer by contacting John Panting by text or phone on 07999 338616 or email: john_brenda@pantings.plus.com
GDPR - again!
Hopefully for the last time in a newsletter but please read this. A few longstanding members will not have given the necessary permissions to comply with GDPR on their membership applications way back when. These members have all received an email from membership@papercourt-sc.org.uk asking them to respond to keep us compliant with the new legislation. If you are one of those members or if you think you have been a member for a very long time, but have not seen an email from membership, please either respond to the email you have already received, or contact membership to ensure that all is in order. Thank you Judith McKnight, Membership Secretary
