An Important Message from Fr. Matthew Mason

“Lord, send laborers into your harvest!”  This is Fr. Matthew Mason, Director of Vocations in the Diocese of Manchester, and I need to ask for your help to pray for vocations to the priesthood.

On the first weekend of June every parish in the Diocese of Manchester will be united in our Weekend of Prayer for Vocations.  We celebrate that weekend the Solemnity of Corpus Christi, the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Christian life, but without priests there is no Eucharist.  With an absence of ordinations this year, we feel a pressing need to pray for vocations.  Many parishes will be celebrating 40 Hours Devotion, adoring the Lord in the Eucharist throughout the weekend.  Others are celebrating a special Mass at 10am on Saturday June 2, the usual time of our ordination or celebrating a special Holy Hour, sometime during the weekend.

Contact your parish office to see what they have scheduled and unite with Catholics throughout New Hampshire as we ask the Lord for the priests we need.”
