Massive Rainfall + Heat = Fescue Fungus
We are not talking about a few brown patches... but widespread death!
We sincerely hope you survived the recent deluge with minimal damage.
However, the storm is not over. The recent heavy rains and heat have put your fescue lawn at great risk of a massive fungus invasion (Rhizoctonia solani).
This fungal pathogen causes widespread grass death by attacking the roots and lower stems of plants - it could devastate your lawn. So what do you do?
Save your lawn with an easy 1-2 punch!
- Prevent/Maintain - Applying a granular fungicide NOW ("F-Stop"). This will treat the fungus affliction and prevent new fungus from developing for 4 weeks.
- Spot Treat - Spot treat any problem areas with a systemic liquid fungicide if brown patch presents itself.
Norwood Road Garden Center carries a wide variety of fungicides to choose from. Stop in and one of our experts will help you choose the product(s) that best fit your lawn's needs. Give a call, if you have any questions!
We strongly recommend to treat your lawn THIS WEEKEND before the fungus becomes out-of-control!
