SHE is not afraid. Say it again, say it louder!

Welcome to your weekend Soul Sista devotional: The Proverbs 31 Series through the lens of the Passion translation. 

Soul scripture of the week: Proverbs 31:21 (The Passion Translation)
''She is not afraid of tribulation, for all her household is covered in the dual garments of righteousness & grace"

Fear is sneaky. Fear is insidious. That voice that chokes Holy-whispers of purpose, provision & destiny with weeds. That doubt that shatters the landscape of dreams. A voice that often whispers to us in our womanhood 'you are not enough' or you are 'too much'

But YOU dear sister are equipped with a power stronger than fear. The dual weapon's of Jesus' righteousness and His reckless grace. The ability to be afraid of nothing because we are steeped in the Truth that we don't walk our journey's alone. That we can stand on the promises & faithfulness of the one who goes before us and say, I am afraid of nothing because whatever ground I stand on Jesus has been there already and claimed victory.

We love the words of the gorgeous Charlotte Gambill, "If only you knew how much Jesus loved you, you wouldn't be afraid" (@ColourConference 2018)

Beautiful, can you pause. 
And receive, truly receive, these words again. 

If only you knew how much Jesus loved you, you wouldn't be afraid. 

He is FOR you, not against you - cheering you on, whispering HOPE, VISION, FAITH and a SONG to sing through your victories this side of eternity. 

And the good news are our victories are not for ourselves alone! This scripture paints a picture of a woman who knows where her true source of power comes from (the covering of her heart, mind, body and soul with the love of Jesus), so much so that her faith provides protection & anointing for her entire household. In other translations it reads, "Grace has brought righteousness to those in her house, under her ministry". This may be literally your household, as well as the relationships and spheres of influence within your world as you walk as sister, mumma, daughter, friend and everything in between. 

We are equipped to hold back the darkness of fear, for ourselves - and for those under our influence and stewardship who need to hear it. 

Lets all be THAT WOMAN this week, who speaks words of faith not fear over her circumstances, and walks in the fullness of victory. 
 
Dear Jesus, we come before you in our weakness for a fresh infusion of your strength. We take authority in your name over any spaces of fear that may be sitting in our hearts for the week ahead. And claim the victory in your name. Thank you for your righteousness, that we can come openly before  God as His Beloved Daughters through your mercy and grace. We love you, to you be the power & glory alone.
