Catch a new hobby!
Learn the fun and joy of fishing at Let's Go Fishing! Bear Creek Lake Park's annual, free program teaches kids (and their parents) the basics of fishing, like types of fish, bait, fishing ethics and how to catch the big one! It's 9 a.m. to noon this Saturday, June 2 at Bear Creek Lake Park. Please register online; no fishing license is required.

Volunteers wanted!
There are still a few spots left for the National Trails Day volunteer project this Saturday, June 2. Join us (and other parks across the country!) from 8 a.m. to noon to help finish new trail surfacing and other maintenance tasks on the Green Mountain Trail at William F. Hayden Park on Green Mountain. Please note that this will be a challenging project with a significant hike to the site, up to 1.5 miles. Light breakfast and lunch will be provided. Register online to provide an accurate count.

Opt outside for your exercise with a new outdoor fitness class at Carmody Park. A certified personal trainer will lead strength, endurance and agility exercises from 8:15-9:15 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays for six-week sessions starting June 4 and July 23.
