Community-Driven Citizen Science for Health and the Environment
June 14 | AAAS Headquarters, Washington, D.C

Join the South Big Data Hub and the AAAS Science and Technology Policy Fellows Crowdsourcing and Citizen Science Affinity Group for a one-day symposium exploring citizen science initiatives driven by community interests. Learn about environmental and human health applications of citizen science projects from local to global scales and meet with scientists and community members leading community-driven research initiatives. 2018 Joint PI Meeting: NSF BIGDATA and Big Data Hubs and Spokes

The NSF BIGDATA Research program will take place on June 20th. The NSF Big Data Hubs and Spokes programs will take place on June 22nd, and joint events addressing both programs will be held on June 21st. Find out more and register at their website

iRODS Consortium User Group Meeting | June 5-7 | Durham, NC
The 10th annual iRODS UGM will be held in Durham, NC this summer. iRODS is open source software used worldwide for data management through discovery, workflow automation, secure collaboration, and virtualization. CASOS 2018 Summer Institute | June 10-16 | Carnegie Mellon University  
Carnegie Mellon University will provide an intense and hands-on introduction to network analytics and visualization from a combined social-network, network-science, link-analysis and dynamic network analysis perspective during a week-long institute this summer. Visit their website for more information. 

2018 NSF Cybersecurity Summit for Large Facilities & Cyberinfrastructure issues Call for Participation | Deadline June 13   
The event will take place August 21-23 in Alexandria, VA. 2nd Annual Transatlantic Symposium on ICT & Policy | June 18-19
Wilson Center, Washington, D.C.

This two-day event, jointly organized by the PICASSO project, in collaboration with the Wilson Center, will convene leaders in government, academia, and industry around the theme of leveraging people, technology, and information for a smart and connected society. It will explore key ICT topics for bilateral cooperation, as well as cross-cutting issues including policy aspects and STEM workforce issues.
