Eventful June

Phew, I've just finished tagging the pieces going off to new pop-ups this weekend. It seems like my events are front-loaded, but the entire month is full of events. On June 1 you can get a preview of all the art availaible during the Evanston Made Studio Walk. June 2 includes the Hermosa ArtShow and the Nasty Women soiree, followed by Hermosa on the third. Then I am off to Milwaukee for the Bead & Button show. After that, I will make my debut at the Berwyn Craft & Vintage Market. Read on for more details!

Hermosa ArtShow

The Hermosa ArtShow takes place this coming weekend in the Auditorium at the Kelvyn Park Fieldhouse, 2nd flr. at 4438 W Wrightwood Avenue in Chicago.
Ten artists will be showcasing their handmade creations throughout the day, while performance artists will take the stage every hour. The show will offer free Hermosa buttons, which means 'beautiful' in Spanish. More details are on the blog

The 5th annual Evanston Made Studio Tour takes place from 12-5 pm on Saturday, June 2. I will be at the opening event Friday, June 1 from 6-9 pm. I have a piece in the group show at the Evanston Art Center, along with a selection of my wax and wire work in the Evanston Made Pop Up Shop, which is open during business hours until June 30. Join me at the Nasty Women Fundraiser June 2 from 6-9 pm. More details on the blog tomorrow
Bead & Button Booth
June 8 at 10:30 am
June 9 at 11:30 am
I was selected to be part of the Now That's a Jig! JigUFacturer Design Team in May, and as part of that I will be teaching a mini-class at Bead & Button Show. You can sign up for classes in Brenda's booth on Eventbrite. I've only been a wirebending class participant, so this wll be stretching my comfort zone a bit. I am excited to meet with the rest of the team and peruse the show for lovely sparklies. My blog has more information.
The weekend after Bead & Button, I will set up stakes at the Berwyn Craft & Vintage Market June 16 from 10 am to 4 pm at Friendly Tap, 6733 Roosevelt Road, in Berwyn, Illinois. Berwyn is rich with makers and artists of all kinds, and I look forward to hanging out with a former colleague.
On the 17th I plan to walk the Custer Street Fair. With its street artists and variety of art and my annual funnel cake fix, I am looking froward to this neighborhood event. After that I have a bit of a breather until I hear about a July show I applied for.
I will try to get more products uploaded to my store during that pop-up pause. I hope you have a fabulous summer and wish the fathers a Happy Father's Day. I am excited about the rainbow feed on social media of Pride-related events, which the angels above are acknowledging. As always, you can
find my work at the Evanston Pop Up Gallery, at Sacred Art, Evanston Stitchworks and at Green Edens. Have a fantastic month!
