Cape Light Compact Electric Rates are Going Down
Supporting renewable energy is now easy and affordable through Cape Light Compact's green aggregation program. We are pleased to announce that our June-December 2018 electric supply rates  will be decreasing substantially. The average residential customer using 584 kWh per month will realize savings of $12.85 each month over our current pricing. Cape Light Compact residential customers will realize nearly $2.6 million in savings over the next 6 months, compared to the local utility's basic service pricing. Learn how you can support renewable energy without signing a contract and no surprise charges! Visit our website for more information on rates or to sign up.
Earn Money and Stay Cool this Summer
Cape Light Compact is looking for residents with a mini-split heat pump or central air conditioning system controlled by a Wi-Fi thermostat to participate in our Smart A/C Savings Program this summer. This program helps to reduce spikes in summer energy demand by making slight adjustments to participants’ thermostats for a couple hours at a time. Participants can earn up to $50 and help reduce summer energy strains. Plus, you’ll always remain in control and have the option to override or opt-out of automatic program adjustments. Learn more or Sign up today!
For a limited time only, we’re offering customers double the usual rebate amount for recycling their older, inefficient refrigerators and freezers. Typically, participating customers receive a $50 rebate, but if you sign up before June 15th you’ll be eligible for a $100 rebate! Check out our blog to learn more about this program, including how components are recycled to ensure responsible disposal of all units.
To sign up, call 1-877-889-4761 or visit us online to schedule your pick-up.
Recycle Your Dehumidifier, Get $30
It pays to recycle! If you have a working dehumidifier, you can receive a $30 rebate for recycling your unit at one of our turn-in events on June 9th, June 16th or June 30th. There is a limit of two units per residential electric account. Additionally, we are also accepting window air conditioner units! Although there’s no rebate offered for these, you can recycle your unit for free with no disposal fee that you would ordinarily have at a town transfer station.
