On June 30, 2018, EPA's e-Manifest database will go live. As required, Tradebe will begin to submit manifest information via file uploads to the EPA electronically on June 30, 2018, for manifests dated by the Generator on or after this date. Since 2017, Tradebe's IT department has been working on development changes to our internal systems in order to meet the new requirements.
In relation to the new e-Manifest program, effective June 30, 2018, all manifests submitted and processed through the e-Manifest database will incur fees imposed by the EPA. Also, a preparation charge to help offset costs of fulfilling the EPA security requirements for data transfer will also apply as outlined below.
Tradebe invoices will reflect the following for shipments beginning on June 30, 2018:

Manifest Preparation $20.00 Applies only to manifests prepared by Tradebe
* Note: EPA e-Manifest fees, determined by the EPA, will apply regardless of current contract terms and conditions.
To help streamline the process, initially, Tradebe will use the paper manifest and will transition to e-Manifest. For our clients - this means minimal change or disruption as this initial use of paper will give Handlers, (Generators, Transporters, and Brokers), the option to continue to ship waste to Tradebe using their current established processes. Also, as a transporter, Tradebe initially will not equip drivers with electronic signing devices. Once the EPA has finalized the required CROMERR signatures process we will re-evaluate.
Tradebe will continue to work closely with our clients and partners throughout the coming months as this new program is rolled out. The e-Manifest program will have implications for all involved. Our goal is to ensure safe and compliant shipments of hazardous waste that we manage or receive – while streamlining and keeping our costs, and in turn our clients' costs, down as much as possible.
