WINDOWS FOR WOODCLIFF
 

Dear Congregation,

We have wrapped up our stewardship campaign for Windows for Woodcliff.  Before we announce final numbers, we would like to acknowledge a number of people who helped make this campaign possible.

A huge thank you to Sheri Bolitho and Charlotte Petti, who were so instrumental in getting our art work, our envelopes, and our messages out to everyone every week. They also did a wonderful production of our campaign video - a huge shout-out to all who so graciously took part in this funny and to-the-point video.   Great appreciation goes to Allan Main, who created the design and anchored the window in the Narthex to help visualize our campaign.  We would like to say thank you to the Envelope Secretaries - Kathryn Kowalsky and Myrl Eddy -  who provided us weekly numbers in time for us to keep you informed.

We must recognize all the work the windows committee - Steve Crosby, Barry Kowalsky, and Kevin Magnusson - have done thus far and all the work that will need to be done before we have new windows and doors at Woodcliff.  While the financial campaign has ended, the work has not, and we appreciate all that is to come.  And we recognize the great gift from the estate of Joyce P. and David W. McClement.  Without their generous donation, we would be unable to attempt work of such magnitude.

But mostly we thank you - our congregation - for supporting this ambitious project and seeing the value to keeping the building of Woodcliff United Church in good repair and function.  To everyone who contributed in any way to this campaign, we express our great appreciation.  We look forward to our final product!

And now, for our final number.  Our campaign ran from April 29 to June 10.  With combined donations from the congregation, the Outreach committee, the Choir, and stocks, we raised:

                                                                                                                  $47,330.00!

This amount will be matched with the estate donation, for a total of $94,160.00.  We are well on our way to upgrading windows and doors around the church.  We are sure Council and the windows committee will continue to keep you informed of its progress.
