Resilience Masterclass | NSW & VIC

How do we respond to the shocks and stressors likely to face our communities and the built environment?

With initiatives like the 100 Resilient Cities program pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation and the Australian Business roundtable on Disaster Resilience and Safer Communities, there is an increasing interest in the field of resilience.

But what is it and how do we ensure our communities are primed to be more resilient to the shocks and stresses they are set to face?

Hear from case study speakers who will explore:

  • A regional perspective on how urban and community resilience is applied
  • How to embed resilience on a corporate level across portfolios
  • A practical, project based case study on how resilience has been adopted

The masterclass is presented by:

Sydney | 21 JUN | Rebecca Miller, Principal Sustainability and Resilience Specialist, AECOM

Melbourne | 26 JUN | Liz Johnstone, Associate Director - Sustainability, AECOM

By the end of the masterclass you’ll have an understanding of:

  • How resilience practice has evolved and emerged
  • Key concepts that underpin resilient communities
  • Approaches and interventions to help build resilience within cities and communities
  • How the GBCA is supporting and helping to further the resilience agenda through the Green Star Communities tool

Don't forget - this masterclass will earn you 4 Green Star CPD Points.
