June 16th - Jim Holland & Friends with Matt Hawkins

For this week's band, we have fiddler Jim Holland bringing along Mike Baugh on guitar and Karen Falkowski on upright bass. Matt Hawkins will be calling.
The dance starts at 7:00 pm, after the 6:30 pm newcomer's workshop (which all are encouraged to attend!) at the Faith Presbyterian Church in south Huntsville, on the corner of Airport and Whitesburg Drive.
Reminder: Thanks to all the dancers, adult chaperones, and volunteers that have been helping with clean up and keeping guests from loitering in areas outside the dance hall or break room where we are invited at Faith Presbyterian. Dancers should stay in the dance hall and break room areas only. We ask that all guests refrain from occupying sanctuary, fellowship hall, or classroom areas. Also, please help us in keeping the dance hall and break area clean and free of trash.

Contributions of snacks, extra fans, and extra hands for setup and tear down are what makes this volunteer organization operate.

No Dance on June 30th

Due to a scheduled church activity at Faith Presbyterian Church, there will not be a fifth Saturday dance this month. The next scheduled dance will be on July 7th, featuring Cattywampas with Matt Hawkins. In the meantime, you can learn about the group performing for the July 7th dance below:

"Cattywampas has been playing great dance music for over 35 years. Tim Cape (fiddle), Jan Smith (fiddle, banjo) and Scott Russell (guitar) play an eclectic mix of tunes from Southern, Northern, Irish, and Quebecois traditions. They pride themselves on crafting exciting medleys and matching and shaping them to the caller’s choice of dances."
