Senator Young is once again supporting libraries with "bullet aid" in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus in the amount of $7500 each! We are lucky to be represented by such a strong library champion!

ILS Migration Schedule
We have kicked off our migration process, moving our data from Sirsi to Koha, and we can now give you a rough timeline of events. Here are the dates and deadlines: July 9: Initial data upload and review (in process) July 31: Mapping of Sirsi fields to Koha fields, and review August 30: Migration of data into test server September 10: Test server live September 15-October 15: OPAC customization September 18-20: Three day in-person train the trainer using test server Koha installation *Koha staff will train CCLS staff and a small group of volunteer library directors or staff from member libraries who will then train all member library staff. Please let Eli know if you are interested in volunteering as a peer trainer!
September 15 to October 15: Testing and refining October 27-28: Final data load (no use of Sirsi after 5pm Saturday) Monday, October 29: Koha go live!

The new online registration software is here! READsquared! Free to you from the NY State Library!
To request your READsquared site, visit the State summer reading site with this link and fill out the form. They will respond with your logins and site information in a day or so. Then take one of the trainings and begin customizing your site to your program. I am available to help if you need it.
I would suggest requesting a site even if you are not sure you will use it because you can use it year round for reading programs. Keep the login information in a place where you will find it next year!!
Evanced and Wandoo Reader are no longer supplied by the State. Their contract ran out and READsquared won the new contract.
