Urgent help needed for Oisin!

6/11 UPDATE:  We know that some of you have been asking how Oisin is doing so we wanted to update you.  The good news is that he’s finally eating normally and seems to be back to his old self, enjoying life. The bad news is that Oisin’s cleft palette consisted of not one, but two, openings on the roof of his mouth. The front one did well and healed but the graft on the back one didn’t take. It’s a very moist area back there so sometimes harder to get the graft to work. If we operated again it’s another $3000+. We thought about it and given that he had such a very hard time after the surgery and really didn’t want to eat and needed food syringed into him (and he’s really tiny to begin with) that if he was eating well and feeling well that we wouldn’t do that surgery at this point. This will allow his little body to recoup a while longer.  So he’s being taken care of and watched and down the road if he puts on some weight and is stronger, we’ll do his neuter and re-evaluate. Thank you all and we'll keep you posted. If you would like to contribute towards the already accrued medical costs, it would be appreciated.
