June is Pride month! It's a time to celebrate all the great things about being LGBTQ, stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ community, and acknowledge how far we've come & the work that lies ahead!

Every year we celebrate Pride in the best way possible: by gathering at Housing Works Bookstore in NYC to listen to LGBTQ artists and share space together! We started this event to create an alcohol-free space for young people to celebrate Pride. This year, our 6th Annual All Ages Pride Party is sponsored by The Tegan & Sara Foundation, and will be hosted by Kristin Russo and Riese Bernard! We will feature spoken word by Urban Word NYC and music by CHIKA and Emily Wells! If you live in or near NYC, we would LOVE to see you there!!
Queer history was probably not included in your grade school curriculum—but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist! In celebration of Pride month, we created #KnowYourQueerHistory, a weekly series that highlights LGBTQ activists, artists, and politicians who have moved mountains and fought like hell for our right to exist in the world. We hope you take some time to learn more about the history of the LGBTQ community, and share the knowledge with your kid and the rest of your community.
