Dear Parents
The nurses from the Fish Hoek Clinic, on behalf of the Health Department, have let us know that they will be coming to our school in the next two weeks, to give the children de-worming drops and Vitamin A drops.
Children should be de-wormed every 6 months.
Vitamin A is an essential substance for the body because it protects the body against infections and illness. It is important for good growth, health and eyesight. The body cannot produce Vitamin A and has to get it from food or Vitamin A capsules ( supplements)
Please note that:
1. This is only for children who are under 5 years of age:
2. This will only be done with consent from the parents and therefore a form must be signed if you would like the nurses to administer the drops.
Please let your teacher know if you would like the drops to be given to your child and complete the relevant form. The teachers will have forms to give you.
You will need to send your child's clinic card or booklet in on the day they receive the drops so that the nurses can write it in for you.
We will confirm the date as soon as we have that information from the clinic nurses.
