Designed for STEM-Minded Leaders

The Next Steps Institute is designed to provide leaders in K–12 education a rich 3-day STEM learning experience.  This fall the Smithsonian Science Education Center (SSEC) and South Carolina’s Coalition for Mathematics & Science (SCCMS) are excited to host this conference.

The Institute Experience

Participants will choose a learning pathway addressing a critical STEM education issue along with salon sessions interspersed throughout their pathway to deepen knowledge in related content areas. This year’s pathways cover a range of hot topics in STEM education, including addressing new standards, diversifying the STEM workforce and citizen science and will be hosted by organizations such as BSCS Science Learning, the TGR Foundation and Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Visit the Institute's website for full details on the pathways and salon session options.  Register by August 17th to take advantage of the lowest pricing.
