Partners Resource Network TEAM Project is one of three Texas Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) funded through the Department of Education.  We provide free information, technical assistance and ARD support to parents of children with special needs.
Our mission is to empower parents of children with disabilities to be effective advocates for their children and to promote positive parent/professional partnership.
Letter From the Director
Dear TEAM,

Welcome to summer! I don't know how that makes you feel, but I personally love the slower paced life and extra time with my kids. As the mom of a child with Down syndrome, I particularly like to participate in the life skills training that summer affords our family--from cooking to yard work to slower paced trips at the grocery store-- all are a special treat.

As you embark on your summer journeys, know that TEAM is still here to help you with your disability-related needs.  We can provide you with summer camp referrals, at-home learning resources, and even connect you with other similar parents in your area.  All you have to do is call or email us!

Together Everyone Achieves More,

Kim Torres

Can I Request a Specific Teacher for My Child With Learning and Attention Issues?

Summer learning programs can address different needs and offer different benefits. Some kids may get extended school year (ESY) services as part of their IEPs. Some kids may be required to take summer school classes to make up for lost credits or poor grades. Others choose to take classes purely for fun or to keep up skills. These questions can help you assess the various types of programs. Read more...
