Is the Universe Conscious?
Scientists have finally realized there is large-scale coherence in the universe. It’s as if the whole universe speaks one language with scientists acting as interpreters - translating this language in terms we all can understand.
For instance, energy is always transformed - not created or destroyed. The total amount of electric charge is the same before and after subatomic particles interact - on Earth, or Jupiter, at the core of stars, even near The Big Bang. Could this coherence be some kind of proto- consciousness that permeates the universe and gives it purpose? Think of panpsychism - an ancient belief that is an essential part of many of the world’s great religions, even in the Old Testament - the idea that a single binding unity exists behind all diversity. . . that mind (psyche) is everywhere (pan). You don’t need to be a meditator or even a near-death experiencer to realize that consciousness is what makes the universe exist. Today’s scientist is discovering what the ascetic always knew.

THE THINKING UNIVERSE…………….
Ervin Laszlo puzzles that reality might not be what we thought it was.
In Laszlo’s latest book, The Intelligence of the Cosmos, Why Are We Here? New Answers from the Frontiers of Science, he posits that consciousness is the fundamental element in the universe.
•The vibrations that makes up the world are not random, but highly ordered, coherent.
•Space is not empty and smooth; it is “grainy,” filled with waves and vibrations.
•There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists by virtue of a force that holds the most minute solar system of atoms together.
•If you want to know the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.
•The quantum vacuum is not a vacuum at all, nor is it empty space. It is a plenum, a space filled with vibrations and forces of various kinds: electromagnetic, gravitational, and nuclear fields, and others yet to be defined, including fields and forces associated with dark energy and dark matter. It is the universal subquantum field, or, the Akashic field.
•Everything that emerges and persists in the world is a cluster of vibration in that field.
•Since our consciousness is the basis of our identity, we do not know who we really are. “My” consciousness is not just my consciousness.
•Consciousness is a real element in the real world. The brain and body do not produce it; they display it. And it does not cease when life in the body does. Consciousness is a reflection, a projection, a manifestation of the intelligence that “in-forms” the world.
GOD & DR. EINSTEIN
Excerpts from a talk given on a radio show by Dr. Ernest Holmes in 1950:
The universe is a spiritual system. It is a manifestation of Divine Intelligence. Another world-famed scientist has said that we can think of the universe in terms of intelligence acting as law, which means mind in action. And another scientist has said that we can think of the universe in the terms of an infinite thinker thinking mathematically, which means that faith acts as a law, and this is why prayer can be answered. Here is another remarkable thing: Dr. Einstein has also said that time, space, and light curve back upon themselves. This means that everything moves in circles. It explains what Jesus meant when he said, “Give and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom.”
I would like for us to consider one more of Dr. Einstein’s propositions, in which he states that energy, which is invisible, and mass, which means physical form, are equal, identical, and interchangeable. Is this any different from one of the initial statements of the Bible, where it says, “In the beginning was the Word,” and where it tells us that the thought of God becomes form? What we see comes out of what we do not see. The invisible becomes visible through a law of mind. This is what is back of psychosomatic medicine. Thoughts are things in that mental state produce definite results. This is why we meditate, pray, and affirm the presence of good in our lives. There is a spiritual body as well as a physical body.
If there is one law governing all physical phenomena, then there must be one law of mind governing all mental actions. And if time, space, and light bend back upon themselves, then our thought will return to us. This is why Emerson said, “If you want a friend, be a friend.”
Some random notes I took while watching a film clip:
- The universe consists of fields upon fields, like cobwebs - pulsating. Everything is connected via the webbing to everything else.
- DNA has a direct effect on our world. DNA excites the webbing. Negative emotions constrict DNA; positive, relaxes and uplifts.
- Human emotions defy conventional laws of physics.
- Human emotions affect and change matter.
- Pray as if the
outcome has already happened!
- Be already what you want and know.
Life is so much fun. . . if you let it be.
